Program Description: Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) is committed to supporting Syrian students in their pursuit of higher education. IIT is offering Syrian students the opportunity to apply for admission to an undergraduate program through an expedited admission process designed according to the needs that Syrian students are currently facing. Due to the highly challenging classes and the demanding work load at IIT, we have very high evaluation criteria in order to make sure that the students can be successful in their academic pursuits. However, students who are admitted under these criteria are awarded a significant merit-based partial scholarship of up to $25,000 per academic year. If admitted, current students will also be provided mentorship, support from current Syrian students at IIT through the Syrian Club, and additional forms of support. This initiative is for Syrians across the world, whether they are in Syria or in another country.
